The Range Rover Electric carries a starting price of £154,070 in the United Kingdom, equivalent to approximately $140,450 in the United States at current rates. JLR confirmed it will produce the vehicle at its Solihull factory in the West Midlands, alongside existing petrol and hybrid variants. The company says 300 patents have been submitted in connection with the model, describing it as the most technologically custom-built Range Rover produced to date.

The journey to this point has been protracted. Range Rover first disclosed it was developing an electric model more than five years ago, and opened pre-orders in 2023 with an initial promise of customer deliveries commencing a year later. Orders are now being accepted.
