Russia exploiting Ceuta migration crisis online but EU says it did not cause it

The European Union has confirmed that Russia is attempting to exploit the Ceuta migration crisis through online activity, but says it holds no conclusive evidence that foreign-state disinformation was responsible for provoking the crisis itself.","The EU's assessment places it at odds with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, who has alleged that both Russia and Israel spread disinformation to destabilise migration flows into Spain. Russia's Foreign Ministry spokeswoman María Zajárova has since demanded that Madrid furnish concrete proof of those claims, whilst the Spanish government maintains that the relevant investigations are classified and will be disclosed only to a closed congressional committee.
