A 31-year-old woman died on Monday evening after her car left the road and struck two trees in the Dillingen an der Donau district of Swabia, Bavaria. Her six-year-old daughter, who was in the vehicle at the time, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, police confirmed.

Cause of crash yet to be established

The collision occurred on the road between Haunsheim and Lauingen. The precise cause of the incident remains unclear, with police stating only that the driver left the carriageway for reasons not yet determined.

Firefighters attended the scene and freed the woman, who was trapped inside the wreckage. Resuscitation attempts were made at the scene, but she was pronounced dead before she could be taken to hospital.
