The Norwegian Royal Palace has officially confirmed Mette-Marit, 53, as Queen of Norway following the death of King Harald V, aged 89, on Friday morning.

King Harald V died aged 89 on Friday morning, making his son Haakon king and elevating Ingrid Alexandra, 22, to Crown Princess of Norway.
